What Schools Serve Creekside Park in The Woodlands, TX?

Creekside Park is zoned to Tomball ISD. All of it. It is the one village of The Woodlands that sits in Harris County, and that county line is the reason its schools are different from the rest of the community. No part of Creekside Park is zoned to Conroe ISD.

That surprises a lot of buyers, because most of The Woodlands is Conroe ISD and it is easy to assume Creekside follows the same pattern, or that it is split. It isn’t split. The question that changes from one street to the next is which Tomball ISD elementary campus you are zoned to.

Why Creekside Is the Exception

The Woodlands crosses a county line. Most of the villages are in Montgomery County, where Conroe ISD is the main district. Creekside Park is the newest village and the only one in Harris County, and in that part of Harris County the district is Tomball ISD.

So when you compare Creekside with Sterling Ridge or Cochran’s Crossing, you are comparing two different school districts, with different campuses and different feeder patterns. A family moving from another village into Creekside is changing districts, even though the mailing address still says The Woodlands.

The Campuses, as of the 2026-27 School Year

Tomball ISD has been redrawing attendance zones in phases, and Creekside was part of it. Here is how it stands for 2026-27, per Tomball ISD’s District Zone Reset:

• Elementary (kindergarten through fourth grade): Creekside Forest Elementary, Timber Creek Elementary or Creekview Elementary, depending on the address. Timber Creek took on part of Creekview’s former zone this year.
• Fifth grade: a new fifth-grade addition at Creekside Park Junior High, which the district approved to open in fall 2026.
• Junior high: Creekside Park Junior High.
• High school: Tomball High School. The district redrew its high school boundaries for 2026-27 to go with the opening of Tomball West High School, and Creekside Park stayed zoned to Tomball High School.

The elementary zones and the fifth-grade campus both changed within the last year. That is the main reason we tell every Creekside buyer to check the address with the district and not rely on what a listing says.

What This Means When You Shop

You do not have to choose a “side” of Creekside to get a particular district. Every home in the village is Tomball ISD. What you are choosing between is elementary zones, and those lines do not always follow the streets you would expect.

The school names on a listing are entered by hand. After a rezoning year, some are stale. It is easy to fall for a house because of the elementary named in the listing, then learn the zone moved. Look it up before you write the offer.

Schools Are One Part of the Decision

Schools matter, and for many families they decide the village. They still sit next to your budget, your commute, the age of home you want and how you want an ordinary Tuesday to feel. Creekside gives you newer homes and a lot of green space in exchange for being farther from Town Center. Whether that trade works is a different question from which district you are in.
